Last Day of School

To Our Bailey Families and Students-

What a year! We did it, Bailey! We are beyond proud of the growth and hard work of our incredible Bobcat students throughout this 2021-2022 school year. Our Bailey students have grown so much, and there are many bright spots to celebrate.

Our Bailey children have experienced a little bit of living history these last few school years. We have learned and grown together as a school community in the third year of the pandemic. This school year we welcomed many new Bailey students and staff, and we are preparing to send off our incredible 5th graders into their next chapter of their educational journey. We are beyond grateful to be on this journey with all of you in our Bailey Community. We are thankful that Bailey has been a part of the foundational journey in the education of your child. We couldn’t do this important work without families like yours! Each child is our world here at Bailey, and your partnership with us is beyond valuable.

We are lucky to be at school each day to see the thousands of little moments that make each day special here at Bailey.

We wish you and your family a restful, safe, and enjoyable summer ahead. Thank you for sharing your precious little one(s) with us, we know they are your whole world, and they are our world too!

With Gratitude,

Congratulations to our 5th Graders!

As we end the year, we would like to thank our fifth grade students and families for your partnership over the years at Bailey. We are proud of our 5th grade class and wish them well as they venture on this path of success! They are ready for it!

A special Thank You to Yun Danforth for heading up and organizing the 5th Grade Celebration. Thank you to all the parents that donated raffle items and to those that volunteered their time to help this celebration run smoothly. Our 5th graders had a blast and it was fun to see them 'just being kids!'

22-23 SY Class Placement and Summer Assessment Days

August 24 and 25, all District 833 elementary schools will be having "Assessment Days". You will receive an email the middle of August to let you know who your child's teacher is. The email will also have a link for you to sign-up for a 30 minute time slot for your child to meet with next year's teacher. The teacher will visit briefly with each student on their class list and then assess them in reading. This valuable information about your child will give the teacher a little insight before school starts as well as having less testing at the beginning of the school year. You are also welcome to bring your child's school supplies on the assessment day to drop off in their classroom.

Looking For Ways To Keep Your Child Engaged In Reading Over The Summer?

Even those of us in education need ideas on how to keep our own children engaged in all things reading over the summer. Our amazing Reading Specialist, Amy Frandsen, put this one pager together with all sorts of ideas to keep our learners engaged (and some quick breaks for mom and dad). Here is the live link: Summer Reading 2022
