As a service to our community, this space is for SoWashCo Community Education and non-profit groups to share special events, programs and activities.

SoWashCo Community Education Activities Flyers 

SoWashCo Community Education offers quality education, enrichment and athletic opportunities for all ages. These programs provide participants with opportunities to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve social skills in a fun and safe environment. To see our full list of offerings visit sowashco.ce.eleyo.com.

SoWashCo Community Education partners may send flyer distribution requests to flyers@sowashco.org. Requests must be for a current or upcoming SoWashCo Community Education activity or class. Please include the link to the class in Eleyo and a PDF flyer.

Community Organization Flyers

Groups/organizations that meet the eligibility criteria below must send a link to a webpage or PDF flyer about the event or program, a short description of the event or program, the organization name and the event organizer's contact information to flyers@sowashco.org.

East Ridge Elementary and Junior High Cheer Teams

We welcome all athletes, no experience necessary!

Join one of our competition teams:

  • Elementary: grades 2-6
  • Junior High: grades 5-9
  • Season runs June-January
  • Compete locally 5-6 times per year

Grow together. Girl Scouts gives adult-girl pairs built-in ways to try new things, spark meaningful conversations, and create lasting memories.

You Extraordinary Summer (YES) with MiTY, three 1-week sessions in June or July 2026, Grades 1-4

The Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) is offering three 1-week sessions (June or July) for students in grades 1-4. Students select from over 60 classes.

  • 1-week sessions:
    • Session A: June 15-19 at Twin Cities German Immersion School, St. Paul, MN
    • Session B: July 13-17 at Benilde-St. Margaret's, St. Louis Park, MN
    • Session C: July 20-24 at Benilde-St. Margaret's, St. Louis Park, MN
  • Full day, half day, and extended day options are available.
  • Need-based financial assistance is available.

Your Summer of Discovery Awaits with MiTY, 2-weeks in June or July 2026, Grades 6-8

The Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) is offering two 2-week sessions (June or July) for students in grades 5-7. Students select from over 50 classes.

  • 2-week sessions
    • Session A: June 15-26 at Saint Thomas Academy, Mendota Heights, MN
    • Session B: July 13-24 at Benild-St. Margaret's, St. Louis Park, MN
  • Full day, half day, and extended day options are available.
  • Need-based financial assistance is available.

MiTY Expand Your Mind June and July 2026, Grades 8-11

The Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) is offering two 2-week sessions (June or July) for students in grades 8 - 11. Students choose from over 20 unique courses in STEM, humanities and the fine arts.

  • Classes are from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Macalester College in St. Paul
  • 2-week session
    • Session A: June 15-26
    • Session B: July 13-24
  • Attend as a day or residential student.
  • Need-based financial assistance is available.

Your Extraordinary Saturday (YES) with MITY - Spring 2026 Session

The Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) is offering one 3-weekend session. Students in grades 1-5 take two classes from 9 a.m.-noon.

  • April 11, 18 and 25, 2026
  • 9 a.m.-noon
  • Breck School in Golden Valley, MN
  • Parents are invited to attend free educational speakers while students are in class.
